Kingston
says it is will ship a 960GB version of its value v300 SSD series called the
V310. The Kingston V310 will use a Phicon 3108 controller and is rated to hit
fairly pedestrian 450MB/s reads and 440MB/s writes. The drive comes with a
three-year warranty, a 1 million hour MTBF rating, and an endurance expectancy
of 2728TB writes before giving up the ghost. Pricing of the drive was not
disclosed, but most 1TB or near-1TB drives hover in the $400 range.
